Meet the team
Kristina Crotta, Esq.
President & Managing Attorney, Phoenix Zorel Legal, PLLC
Kristina Crotta founded Phoenix Zorel Legal, PLLC to help clients overcome their toughest challenges – just as she has. A graduate of Auburn University and an early law school graduate in 2012, Kristina began her career in the 12th Judicial Circuit as both an Assistant Public Defender and the court-appointed DUI Court Staff Attorney before transitioning into civil litigation. She has served as Senior Attorney for the Department of Children and Families and later as counsel in Tampa and Orlando, focusing on Insurance Coverage, First-Party Property Defense, and Construction Defects, as well as serving as In-House Counsel for University Property and Casualty Insurance.
After surviving a severe trauma in 2019 that left her unable to walk, Kristina spent years defeating the odds and fighting to regain the use of her legs by rebuilding her strength and resilience – ultimately founding Phoenix Zorel Legal as a symbol of recovery and renewal: Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of her own trauma, Kristina wishes to see all her clients do the same.
Kristina is admitted to practice in all of Florida's state and federal courts, and is also active in several professional associations, including the Florida Bar Association and the American Inns of Court. Some of her recognitions include Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (top 5% of Attorneys in their fields, 2021, 2023); Nationally Ranked Top 10 Under 40 (National Academy of Family Law Attorneys, 2025), and Certified Trial Practice Institute Graduate (National Criminal Defense College, 2016).
